Below you will find some general information on our program which has been designed by Dr. Dean Vistnes after years of research and planning.
Initial Metabolic Weight Loss Assessment:
All initial assessments are conducted by a medical doctor, physician assistant, or a nurse practitioner. During this visit, you will receive:
- A detailed and comprehensive body composition analysis
- An EKG to evaluate heart rhythm
- A requisition for fasting blood work (to be completed off-site)
- A review of your medical health history
- A customized nutrition and diet plan tailored specifically for you
We offer the option of medical-grade appetite suppressants that will be dispensed from the office at no extra charge. Medications are NOT required for the REBALANCE program. The medication we typically prescribe is phentermine, an FDA approved appetite suppressant that has been used for over 30 years to safely help curb your appetite during the acute weight loss phase of the program.
Nutrition Plan:
A medical professional will start you on a sensible, balanced, low calorie diet that is tailored to you based on your weight loss goals and metabolic evaluation.
Weekly Follow-Up Visits:
These visits, with one of our medical staff, include a weigh-in, vital sign check, an optional injection of nutritional supplements and if appropriate, a refill for your appetite suppressant. Your progress will be reviewed and suggestions plus education material will be given to aid you in your continued success.
This program is not appropriate for patients:
- with glaucoma
- with uncontrolled high blood pressure
- with severe heart disease
- over 65 or under 18 years old
- who are trying to conceive, are pregnant or breast feeding
- who need to lose more than 75lbs
